Roger Kemp
President
Roger Kemp’s career in Christian broadcasting began in 1979 on the staff of Ambassador Advertising Agency in Fullerton, California. It was rewarding to learn the craft of radio production and media relations from mentors Al Sanders, and Jon and Peggy Campbell, during an era when clients such as Chuck Swindoll and James Dobson entered the broadcasting scene.
In 1991, Roger accepted Chuck Swindoll’s invitation to become Vice President of Broadcasting and International Ministries at Insight for Living. In this season, Roger gave leadership to the production and distribution of the broadcast in North America, and also helped expand Insight for Living’s outreach to international markets. In 1998, Roger joined the executive team at Salem Communications in Camarillo, California, as Vice President of National Programming. He was the gatekeeper for programming fifty stations with national ministry content.
This trilogy of experience (agency, ministry and radio network) formed the foundation for Roger’s media agency for Christian ministries. Based in Westlake Village, California, Roger Kemp and Company was incorporated in 2004.
Roger serves on the Executive Committee of the National Religious Broadcasters, Manassas, Virginia.
Married for more than thirty years, Roger and his wife, Lori, have four adult children and reside in Thousand Oaks, California. Roger and Lori are avid cyclists and on weekends also enjoy hiking in the local mountains. When Lori is not working on projects at Kemp and Company, you might find her conducting tours as a docent at the nearby Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
