The Voice of the Martyrs Calls for Prayer on Behalf Christians in Egypt

The Voice of the Martyrs shared an urgent plea for prayer this morning as they reported on an armed attack that took the lives of 27 Christians early Friday, May 26, 2017 in Egypt. Here is more from the local VOM workers report, “The bus was on its way to visit a monastery, when it was stopped by 10 armed men. They boarded the bus and asked passengers for their religion. When the attackers learned they were Christians they opened fire. Children were among the about 50 Christians on board. Many of the injuries are severe, and more martyrs are expected before the end of the day as people succumb to their injuries. Please lift up the victims, their families and the nation of Egypt ... For the past three years, The Voice of the Martyrs weekend radio broadcast, VOM Radio, has been heard on a growing number of radio stations all across the country. In 2016, the ministry launched a brand new 1-minute short feature, called VOM Radio Minute. It’s our pleasure to announce that the weekend edition of VOM Radio has moved to a 25-minute format as of this past weekend, May 13-14, 2017. We believe the 25-minute format has emerged as the standard program length for Christian radio. We're pleased to bring the VOM Radio weekend production into alignment with the other programs you carry. This new version will seamlessly replace the current format on both Amb-OS and the FTP site. This year, they will be honored with the 2017 Award for Best Digital Campaign for “I am N.” This award recognizes an organization that best engages people through the use of a digital campaign initiative.
