Know The Truth is Looking at Christmas in Light of the Cross

During the Christmas season our focus goes to baby Jesus, tucked into a soft bed of straw. But throughout the month of December on Know The Truth, Philip De Courcy is reminding us that while Jesus started in a manger, he didn’t stay there.

According to Pastor Philip, in order to fully grasp the depth of God’s mercy and love, interwoven into the fabric of the nativity story, we must look at that holy night in light of God’s perfect plan to redeem humanity back to Himself.

This month, Pastor Philip guides us through Mark chapters 13 & 14 in a study of Jesus’ life and ministry culminating, not at the manger, but at the cross … where He freely laid down His life as a ransom for many.

No, Jesus didn’t stay a babe in the manger, nor did he grow up to become a quiet carpenter in Nazareth. He didn’t even leave us the option of admiring Him as a good, moral teacher or a wise prophet.

Jesus revealed Himself as God incarnate ... the Savior of the world.

While depictions of Jesus at the Last Supper, in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the road to Calvary aren’t your typical “Christmas” broadcasts … the programming on Know The Truth is certain to help you embrace the good news of God’s grand narrative of Salvation at this most joyous time of the year.

And be sure to tune in on Christmas Day for a special broadcast on John 1:4-5 titled, The Lights of Christmas.
