This September on Focal Point, Pastor Mike Fabarez takes listeners through an in-depth study of Romans chapter 8 as he discusses what it means to live by the Spirit in the midst of walking through difficult trials.

The series includes special interviews with KKLA host, Frank Sontag, where Pastor Mike shares glimpses of how living by the Spirit has played out in his own life through his experience being the father of a disabled daughter. Pastor Mike’s personal experiences were influenced by the Biblical themes found in these timely passages.

Pastor Mike uses themes from the following verses in the broadcast.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace,” Romans 8: 5-6.

Clearly, Romans 8 provides encouragement to those going through challenging times.

Pastor Mike Fabarez is considered one of the foremost expository Bible teachers in the country and is known for his colorfully relevant, accurate, Christ-centered preaching style.  His passion is clear and compelling as he preaches the whole gospel, dispelling myths and “easy Christianity” and moving believers on to solid biblical food. Listeners appreciate his bold, forthright presentation and depth of insight.
