This past weekend, Life Without Limbs partnered with local churches, community service organizations and government officials to sponsor the community event, I Heart Ventura County.
What does a community event with Nick Vujicic look like? Nearly six thousand people streamed into the Ventura County Fairgrounds in California on Saturday, November 8, 2014. As the sun set over the ocean, voices were raised in worship, as the band Elliot brought the crowd to their feet with feet-tapping, soul-stirring music. As the final song faded, the gigantic screen on stage played a brief film about how a young boy and his family were impacted by Compassion International, one of the ministry partners of the night's events.
Nick Vujicic’s message for the evening was one the crowd will never forget. He shared his remarkable story of faith, hope and a deep love found only in Jesus. His inspiring encouragement for the evening was this … even if God doesn't provide you with a miracle, you can be God's miracle for someone else.
Two services culminated with close to one thousand people coming to the front of the stage to give their lives to Jesus and experience the freedom and joy only the Lord can offer.
It was an unforgettable night for all who came, and one that will be remembered for a long time after.
