“And He who sits on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’  And He said, ‘Write, for these words are faithful and true.’”

Revelation 21:5

This verse, from which All Things New garners its name, is made plainly evident by the unmistakable hand of God at work in Joni Eareckson Tada’s life.

Both Pastor Shawn Thornton and Joni Eareckson Tada intimately know and proclaim that our hope as Christians is founded upon this amazing truth—That Christ has already paid the ultimate price to redeem us, and even so, He is not done with us. He is making us new!

On July 11, Pastor Shawn and Joni sat down in the RKC recording studio to discuss the newly digitized and enhanced version of the 1979 film, Joni, in which she shares her journey of faith as she grew closer to Jesus after a diving accident left her a quadriplegic.

This encouraging interview program will be airing on the daily broadcast, All Things New, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

The film premier will take place just over 50 years after Joni’s diving accident, on August 6, 2017, at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, California, where Shawn Thornton serves as lead pastor.

"We are so excited and humbled to be a part of this special screening, and the occasion to honor all that the Lord has done through Joni and the ministry of Joni and Friends, far and above the original film's release," said Senior Pastor Shawn Thornton. "We are grateful to be one of many churches involved in disability ministry, working alongside Joni and Friends to ensure that individuals with disabilities in our communities are sought out, welcomed and valued in our congregations."

Joni and Friends President and COO Doug Mazza weighed in on the festivities that will surround the premiere:

“…We wanted to mark the occasion with fanfare as well as recognition for others who have been used by God in disability ministry, including our great friend Pastor Shawn Thornton."

Bring your family and friends to this FREE event on August 6 at 6 p.m.!

Pastor Shawn Thornton can be heard daily on his 25-minute radio broadcast, All Things New.
