Walk in the Word will receive the prestigious NRB Billy Graham Award for Excellence in Christian Communications during the February 21st Awards Dinner at the NRB 2012 Convention & Exposition. Walk in the Word features the Bible teaching ministry of Dr. James MacDonald, Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Church, located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Harvest has grown to a multi-site church of more than 13,000 people meeting on six campuses each weekend. Every half-hour radio program heard on more than 1,100 stations in North America is designed to ignite passion in the people of God through the proclamation of truth.
Widely known as a radio program, Walk in the Word continues to expand its outreach through every technological means possible, including audio, video, web-based ministries, podcasting, printed resources and public events. Billy Graham is the best-known broadcaster, pastor, and evangelist of his era. Dr. Graham exemplified a commitment to excellence, creativity, and biblical fidelity in his use of electronic communications in furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Billy Graham Award for Excellence in Christian Communications is presented to a Christian organization that effectively and creatively uses multiple electronic media technologies in fulfillment of its mission, while maintaining fidelity to the message of love, redemption, and hope found in the Holy Scriptures. Join us in congratulating Walk in the Word on their award.
